Fodor's Review:

If you can't decide whether to go in-line skating or saltwater fishing, do both at once on Tampa Bay's car-free Friendship TrailBridge, the old Gandy Bay Bridge connecting Tampa and St. Petersburg. The trail runs parallel to the newer Gandy Bridge and can be accessed from either city. The 2½-mi span has no facilities except for portable potties that have been placed at either end of the two-lane concrete structure. Long wooden decks on each side of the bridge (open 24 hours) are reserved for anglers, and the former traffic lanes of the bridge are open sunrise to sunset to runners, walkers, bicyclists, and in-line skaters.
