Getting Around

If you're driving, Interstate 75 and 275 span the Bay Area from north to south. Coming from Orlando, you're likely to drive west into Tampa on Interstate 4. Along with I-75, U.S. 41 (the Tamiami Trail) stretches the length of the region and links the business districts of many communities; it's best to avoid it and all bridges during rush hours (7-9 AM and 4-6 PM). Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (813/254-4278 www.hartline.org) serves the county, and TECO Line Street Cars (813/254-4278 www.tecolinestreetcar.org) replicate the city's first electric streetcars, transporting cruise-ship passengers to Ybor City.
