John Gorrie Museum State Park

Fodor's Review:

Stop in at this park honoring the physician credited with inventing ice-making and (almost) air-conditioning. Although he was hampered by technology, later air-conditioning patents used Gorrie's discoveries. Exhibits of Apalachicola history are displayed here as well.
