Rancho Inn Review

This mom-and-pop operation—the owners live on-site—prides itself on its homeyness and personalized service. Rooms are spotless, if a little dated in their beige-and-brown color schemes, but 27-inch color TVs (complete with HBO and other premium channels), in-room coffeemakers, refrigerators, and microwaves make it a hard-to-beat option for those on a budget. The owners advertise "never-smoked-in rooms"—and impose fines of $100 for guests who light up in them. Trained pets can share accommodations for a fee.
