Picolo Restaurant and Red Bar

Picolo Restaurant and Red Bar Review

You could spend weeks here just taking in all the funky-junky, eclectic toy-chest memorabilia—from Marilyn Monroe posters to flags to dolls—dangling from the ceiling and tacked to every available square inch of wall. The contemporary menu is small, although it includes what you'd expect to find in the Panhandle: crab cakes, shrimp, and crawfish, to name a few. It also serves breakfast. In season, it can feed hundreds of people a day, so expect a wait. Blues and jazz musicians play nightly in the Red Bar. You can't make up a place like this.

You can't make a trip to the 30-A area without going here. Be ready to wait, but they have an awesome jazz band. Two words: Paneed chicken. It's awesome! Make sure you bring cash or check, they don't take credit cards.
