Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium

Fodor's Review:

For a look at Florida's native animals and habitats, head to the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium. Boardwalks lead through subtropical wetlands, a birds-of-prey aviary, and a butterfly house. There are snake, alligator, and other live-animal demonstrations several times daily. The 90-seat planetarium has astronomy shows daily and special laser shows. There's also a re-created Seminole Indian village.

  • Cost: $9
  • Open: Mon.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. 11-5
