Fodor's Review

Here Naples takes a youthful curve. Island music sounds on the umbrella-shaded courtyard at this eatery, the original prototype for a small national chain. It has that trademark rattan look that identifies the casual Tommy Bahama label in clothing and furniture stores across the world. Indoors and out, everybody's munching sandwiches, salads, and grilled seafood and meats with a tropical flair, like shrimp and scallops in curry-coconut sauce and blackberry-brandy barbecued

ribs.

A fun evening out

I really enjoyed all aspects of my meal at Tommy Bahama's. Although I was surprised to see all of the young children in the restaurant, particularly after 9 p.m. We don't get out very often without our 2-year-old, and were looking forward to an adult-only evening. Oh well. Anyway, I would definitely return for the food, but not for a romantic evening.

Good . . . if you can get it

Perpetually crowded Tommy Bahama's Cafe, has great food, a beautiful patio and is very family-friendly. But, as the old saying goes, no one goes there anymore, it's too crowded!

Touristy but good

This was the best casual food that we had while in Naples. The patio is great for dining. The service was solid. There is a wait but hand at the bar and have a Mango Colada. The bisque is OUTSTANDING. If they have it, you must try. The Key Lime Pie looked wonderful too. Try the plantain chips and salsa. It sounds weird but it is actually really good. The prices are tourist-level (high!). But, you will leave quite satisfied.

mini vacation in an evening

the food is much better than it has to be in a place like this. Ultra tropical in atmosphere with fun martinis and great hors d'oeurves, we just head down here whenever we need to be reminded why we moved to Florida.
