Boat House Motel

Fodor's Review:

For a great location at a good price, check into this two-story motel. Modest but appealing with its white facade and turquoise trim, it's at the north end of Marco Island, on a canal close to the gulf. Units are light and bright and furnished with blond woods, rattan, and tropical-print fabrics. King-sized rooms have a balcony or walled-in terrace, and some have great water views. You can fish from the motel's dock. Pros: away from busy beach traffic; affordable; boating docks and access. Cons: no beach; hard to find; tight parking area.
