Barefoot Beach Preserve

Barefoot Beach Preserve Review

The 342-acre plot is a quiet, out-of-the-way place, accessible via a private neighborhood road around the corner from the buzzing public beach. It has picnic tables, a nature trail and learning center, an aquatic butterfly garden, a canoe trail, refreshment stands, and a beach rentals concession. Gopher tortoises often cross the road right in front of your car, so drive slowly. Park rangers lead nature walks and other interpretive programs. Best for: communing with nature.
