Patty & Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art

Patty & Jay Baker Naples Museum of Art Review

This cool, contemporary museum in the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts displays provocative, innovative pieces, including renowned miniatures, antique walking sticks, modern American and Mexican masters, and traveling exhibits. Dazzling installations by glass artist Dale Chihuly include a fiery cascade of a chandelier and an illuminated ceiling layered with many-hued glass bubbles, glass corkscrews, and other shapes that suggest the sea; alone, this warrants a visit. In 2010, the multimillion-dollar donation of a massive 12-piece Louise Nevelson sculpture installation greatly boosted the museum's importance.
