Fodor's Review:

If you desire personal attention, a casual atmosphere, and a dollop of style stay at these twin inns spread out on nearly 2 acres. Ambrosia is more intimate, with themed rooms such as the Treetop, Sailfish Suites, and Havana Cabana. Ambrosia Too is a delightful art-filled hideaway. Rooms and suites have original work by local artists, wicker or wood furniture, and spacious bathrooms. Each has a private entrance and deck, patio, or porch. Poolside continental breakfast is included, and children are welcome. Pros: spacious rooms; poolside breakfast; friendly staff. Cons: on-street parking can be tough to come by; a little too spread out.

  • Hotel Details: 22 rooms, 3 town houses, 1 cottage, 6 suites
  • In-room: kitchen (some), refrigerator, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: pools, bicycles, parking (free), some pets allowed (fee).

This was the first time my husband I stayed at a B & B. We were nervous because we had heard stories of some being dirty and not well kept. That was not the case at all at the Ambrosia Home. We got in at about 7pm on Friday and their office closes at 6pm. We did get a call on our drive down from Ms. Ambrosia to insure we were ok and if there was anything we needed. They left the room unlocked and the keys on the bed for us. The room was Havana Cabana! A cuban theme, it was great! The bed was so confortable and the bathroom was very large. When we checked in the next morning, we met Ben. He was great. He knew anything and everything about Key West and the things to do. He gave us discounts on the things we wanted to do and made sure we were comfortable with everything.

Ben showed us to the pool and spa and also they offer breakfast at no cost. It is not the typical breakfast you get in a hotel, it is hot and wonderful!

Housekeeping was great! She would come in every day and clean, put in new towels and make the bed. They have a gratuity envelope for your housekeeper. She is wonderful.

This home is located about 2 or 3 blocks from Duval, and is a little bit of a walk to Mallory Square.

I highly recommend talking to Ben about mopeds. Its the greatest thing in Key West. There is so much to do and see and with the moped, you can do it all. Very cheap also.

I think this concludes my thoughts, oh, it is also pet friendly!

I hope you enjoy this home as much as we did!
