If you want to get a taste of the island's Cuban heritage, this is the place. Perfect for after watching a Mallory Square sunset, you can dine alfresco or in the dining room on refined versions of Cuban classics. Begin with a megasized mojito while you enjoy the basket of bread and savory sauces. The expansive menu offers tostones rellenos (green plantains with different traditional fillings), ceviche (raw fish "cooked" in lemon juice), and more. Choose from Cuban specialties such as roasted pork in a cumin mojo sauce and ropa vieja (shredded beef stew). At lunch, the local Cuban population and cruise-ship passengers enjoy Cuban sandwiches and smaller versions of dinner's most popular entrées. A salsa band performs outside at the bar during sunset celebration.

    My favorite dinner spot in Key West. We had a sampler dinner including roasted pork, shredded beef, and this cuban-version of sloppy joe. We also had tostones, which turned out to be just a smaller portion of the sampler dinner in fried plantain, and seafood cerviche. The food is just AWESOME!

    The restaurant is right next to the mallory square. So after watching the sunset, we just walked over to eat. There are cuban heritage displays at the entrance of the restaurant, very interesting. Plenty of seating. The harbor and many ceiling fans provide plenty of breeze. Salsa band playing. Atmosphere is just plain cool. O and did I mention their mojitos? Generous amoung of alcohol balanced by ample fresh mint leaves, real cane sugar - heavenly.
