Looe Key Reef Resort & Center Review

If your Keys vacation is all about diving, you'll be well served at this scuba-obsessed operation—the closest place to stay to the stellar reef (and affordable to boot). Rooms are basic but perfect for sleeping between dives and hanging out at the tiki bar. The one suite is equipped with a fridge and microwave. Single rooms are available.

Looe Key Reef Resort & Center Review

I stayed at this resort for 2 weeks, I wanted a place with night life, somewhere I could grab something quick to eat and yet close to Key West. All the staff were excellent, if you act like a butt head then expect the service to be reflective
    .
The bands each night were pretty good and the gals on the dance floor were pretty good too.

Food was good, drinks were good but yes the service was a little slow because they only had one bartender and she was running to keep up, the place was packed almost every night.

If you want top of the line rooms, then go pay $250 a night in Key West. If you need some place to crash as you party along on your vacation, then this is the place to play and stay.

Pool was always nice and clean and so were the grounds. The Captain on the boat was named James and he was so very helpful the entire time we were on the boat.
All in all, it's just what I wanted and got. If your too old, snoby or just a pain in the butt, please go somewhere else so you don't spoil my vacation the next time I stay there with your bad attatude.

Looe Key Reef Resort & Center Review

To call this a "resort" is beyond laughable. The "dive center" is outclassed by nearly any shop on the Keys, particularly one like the Key Largo Dive Center, which treated us with dignity after this place was a total joke. The "tiki bar" is a dive where nearly every patron smokes, so guess what? The whole property reeks. The management accused us --- absolutely falsely -- of "stealing" four towels and a bathmat and then charged us $188. We arrived to find no towels, but honestly believed the place was such a dive they didn't have them. We laughed for two days about the "motel with no towels" and used our beach towels. When confronted, management basically said I was lying. The place should be avoided. If you read other reviews far enough back at other sites, you will see they have done this to others and if they do it to you, you really don't have a lot of recourse. What are you going to do? They are going to say you did it and then what? You card is already charged and basically in my world, time is money, so this is really all I can do: Warn you. Don't go. Try Pelican Cay Harbor Campground and Marina in Key Largo, where you can rent a houseboat or RV, have free use of kayaks, catch fish, have a great common area and never treated to this nonsense.
