Sunset Key Review

This private island retreat feels completely cut off from the world, yet you're just minutes away from the action. Board a 10-minute launch to 27-acre Sunset Key, where you'll find sandy beaches, swaying palms, flowering gardens, and a delicious sense of privacy. A favorite of yacht owners, the resort's sister property, The Westin Key West Resort & Marina, has a 37-slip marina. The comforts are first-class at the cluster of one- to four-bedroom cottages at the water's edge. Baked goods, freshly squeezed juice, and a newspaper are delivered each morning. Each of the accommodations has a kitchen, and the resort offers a grocery shopping service (for a fee, of course). You can use all the facilities at The Westin Key West Resort & Marina in Old Town, but be warned: you may never want to leave Sunset Key and its great restaurant, pretty pool, and very civilized beach complete with attendants and cabanas. In 2010 it opened a new three-treatment-room, full-service spa.
