Huge, prehistoric-looking denizens of the not-so-deep, silver-sided tarpon congregate around the docks at this marina on Lower Matecumbe Key. Children—and lots of adults—pay $3 for a bucket of sardines to feed them and $1 each for dock admission. Spend some time hanging out at this authentic Keys community, where you can grab a bite to eat, do a little shopping at the artisans' booths, or charter a boat.

    What a blast!!

    What a blast this marina is! The tarpon are huge and get airborn. My daughters had a great time.
