Finnegan's Wake Irish Pub and Eatery

Fodor's Review:

"Come for the beer. Stay for the food. Leave with the staff," is the slogan of this popular pub. The pictures of Beckett, Shaw, Yeats, and Wilde on the walls and the creaky wood floors underfoot exude Irish country warmth. The certified Angus beef is a bit pricey ($30 for an 18-ounce rib eye), but most of the other dishes are bargains. Traditional fare includes bangers and mash, chicken potpie, and colcannon—rich mashed potatoes with scallions, sauerkraut, and melted white cheddar cheese. Bread pudding soaked with a honey-whiskey sauce is a true treat. Live music on weekends and daily happy hours from 4 to 7 and midnight to 2 featuring nearly 30 beers on tap make it popular with the spring break and sometimes noisy drinking crowd.
