Fodor's Review

An enchanting combination of flora and fauna makes this 1904 Victorian house a welcoming retreat. The property is bathed in palms, birds of paradise, and poincianas, with cages of colorful love birds and swarms of butterflies adding tropical punch. Rooms are Caribbean colonial–inspired, with wood-slat floors, elegant trim, and French doors. The color scheme—key lime, cantaloupe, and other rich colors—couldn't be more evocative of the Keys. Some downstairs rooms open onto the deck, pool, and gardens designed by one of the resident owners, a landscape designer. Upstairs rooms overlook the gardens. A full breakfast is served poolside, and guests can take advantage of complimentary parking, and bottled waters, soda, and evening wine.
