Elliott Key Campground

Elliott Key Campground Review

You'll need a private boat to get here, but grassy, beachfront tent sites with awesome views and populated with plenty of native hardwood trees make it worth the inconvenience. Spend the day swimming, snorkeling, hiking trails, and fishing, and spend the night gazing into the brilliant star-strewn, light-pollution-free skies. Parties of up to 25 campers and six tents can reserve one of the three group sites for $30 a night; all other campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis (if there's an open boat slip, a site is available) and cost $20 per night for up to six (including boat dockage). Bring plenty of insect repellent and drinking water (pumps go out on occasion), and try to pick a breezy spot to pitch your tent. Keep in mind you must carry out all trash. Leashed pets are welcome.
