Flamingo

Fodor's Review:

At the far end of the main road to Flamingo lies this community on the Florida Bay. Here you find a marina, a visitor center, and a campground on Florida Bay, with hiking and nature trails nearby. Before Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma washed them away in 2005, a lodge, cabins, and restaurants in Flamingo provided Everglades National Park's only accommodations. At press time, no information was available about the rebuilding of Flamingo Lodge. However camping is still available at Flamingo campground.
