The Wingate is a pleasant business-class hotel that's clearly a good choice if you're going to be visiting attractions throughout Pinellas County. Pros: friendly staff, clean rooms, free breakfast. Cons: location -- between St. Pete and Clearwater -- can be a problem if you're spending most of your time in one city.
