Fodor's Review:
The Manatee Village Historical Park is the real thing. You can see an 1860 courthouse, 1887 church, 1903 general store and museum, and 1912 settler's home. The Old Manatee Cemetery, which dates to 1850, has graves of early Manatee County settlers. An appointment is necessary for a cemetery tour.

- Open: Weekdays 9-4:30, Sun. 1:30-4:30; closed Sun. July and Aug.
