Parks, Jupiter Island and Hobe Sound
Fodor's Review:
In Blowing Rocks Preserve, within the 73-acre Nature Conservancy holding, are plant communities native to beachfront dune, coastal strand (the landward side of the dunes), mangrove, and hammock (tropical hardwood forests). The best time to visit is when high tides and strong offshore winds coincide, causing the sea to blow spectacularly through holes in the eroded outcropping. Park in the lot; police ticket cars parked along the road.
