Old School Bakery Review

This place concentrates on sandwich making at its best, and it is known for freshly baked breads (the owner spent time in three-star Michelin restaurants before opening up shop). Particularly worthy is the cherry chicken salad sandwich with brie on multigrain bread. Apart from sandwiches and soups served for lunch every day, you can order from a diverse menu of baked goods that include artisan breads, pastries, several kinds of cookies, and even biscotti. The bakery is primarily takeout, but there are a few small tables in an adjacent open-air courtyard.

Stickey Buns and Sweets To Die For

I cannot say enough for the sweet rolls and breads from this hole-in the -wall bakery. We usually do not sit there to eat,but instead, take our things back to our hotel. But you could sit outdoors at tiny tables. Do get the cherry chicken salad mentioned above on some great bread and take back some of the sweets. I get a dozen stickey buns and take home to freeze whenever I am in the area.
