Food Shack

Food Shack Review

This local favorite is a bit tricky to find, but worth the search. The fried-food standards you might expect at such a casual place are not found on the menu; instead there are fried-tuna rolls with basil and fried grouper cheeks with a fruity slaw. A variety of beers are fun to pair with the creatively prepared seafood dishes that include wahoo, mahimahi, and snapper.

The Food Shack is consistently awesome! It is our absolute favorite & the only place we will "wait" to eat. The dishes are creative and non-traditional--if you are looking for boring old "fish N chips", go somewhere else! If you like things such as Sweet Potato Crusted Mahi Mahi with a Mango Salsa...also, best burger I have ever eaten; best chicken wings ever eaten. I recommend the appetizer Tuna Basil Roll--I don't even like raw Tuna, but cannot get enough of this app & order it everytime! Atmosphere is very casual/surfer/bohemian.
