Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse

Fodor's Review:

Designed by Civil War hero General George Meade, this brick lighthouse has been operated by the Coast Guard since 1860. Tours of the 105-foot-tall landmark unfold every half hour. (Children must be at least 4 feet tall to go to the top.) There's a small museum that tells about efforts to restore this graceful spire to the way it looked from 1860 to 1918.

  • Cost: Tour $7
  • Open: Tues.-Sun. 10-5; last tour at 3:15
