Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast Sights

Lawrence E. Will Museum

Updated 04/03/2014

Fodor's Review

Housed within the Belle Glade branch of the Palm Beach County library system, this museum contains memorabilia, photographs, and written accounts on the area's history. On the front lawn is a Ferenc Varga sculpture of a family fleeing a wall of water rising from Lake Okeechobee during the catastrophic hurricane of 1928. More than 2,000 people perished and 15,000 families were left homeless by torrential flooding.
