McKee Botanical Garden

Fodor's Review:

On the National Register of Historic Places, the 18 acres here are both a subtropical garden and a horticulture museum. There's a 1,600-square-foot bamboo pavilion, a gift shop, and the Hibiscus café, which serves tasty snacks and sandwiches and locally grown tea. This is the place to see spectacular water lilies.

  • Cost: $6
  • Open: Tues.-Sat. 10-5, Sun. noon-5
