If you're looking for a mix of food, art, performance, landscaping, and retailing, then head to renewed downtown West Palm around Clematis Street, which runs east-west from Dixie Highway to Flagler Drive. Water-view parks with attractive gardens—and fountains where kids can cool off—add to the pleasure of browsing, window-shopping, and resting at an outdoor café. Hip national retailers such as Design Within Reach, Ann Taylor Loft, and Z Gallerie blend in with restaurants, pubs, and nightclubs.
