Fodor's Review

Conveniently perched right off Interstate 95, this four-story hotel, formely a Holiday Inn Express, has large rooms with their own sitting areas. A large sundeck surrounds the pool. Complimentary breakfast is served and free beverages are on tap at the end of the day. A complete renovation in 2009 added a new lobby, breakfast room, and a fitness center.

"Needs Management Overhaul"

The problem is not so much the facility as it is the management. I reserved and paid for two rooms on line at Priority Club for my family. When we arrived, I was told I had only reserved one room, even after I had handed him, (the front desk supervisor) my conformation sheet. After he handed me back the sheet I circled where it said 2 rooms and handed it back to him. Still unable to find my reservation in his computer, one of the other clerks came

over and pulled two room reservation envelopes out of a holder with my name and rooms. Dumfounded, the supervisor said not to worry about this and that he would take care of it! We went to our rooms and I noticed they had pay per view; I went back down stairs and asked if the movies could be blocked in my teenagers room. I was told that the hotel does not do that and I would have to control my own children, the hotel can not control them for me! Completely uncalled for! My father-in-law was with us and likes to soak in a hot bath when he has a hard time sleeping. Well, much to his surprise, he found out the hotel shuts the hot water off at night. I got up early and noticed a bill under my door, Surprise surprise; they were trying to charge me for both the rooms I had paid for. It was about 6:00AM and I went downstairs to the front desk, but the clerk was sitting there sleeping.I saw a woman whom was setting up the coffee told she me to come back later and the clerk would be awake. I waited awhile and went back down with my father-in-law, (Whom just happens to be a travel writer) looking for the manager. I explained everything to him and how dissatisfied I was with his lack of management skills. I gave him the hotel bills and my online receipts to prove I had pre-paid the bill; he seemed to be in disbelief. My father-in-law explained who he was and began to tell of his lousy experience and surprise of the lack of professional management at this hotel. My advice, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!
