Built in 1936, this historic two-story frame enclave is a short walk from the Intracoastal Waterway and a golf course. Three rooms and a suite are in the main house, and three others are across a brick courtyard in the carriage house. Each room is inspired by a different artist—including Renoir, Dalí, Norman Rockwell, and Chagall—and all have oak floors, antique furnishings, and private balconies. There's an inviting parlor where afternoon tea and weekend wine and appetizers are served. A full breakfast is offered indoors or in the courtyard, under the palms. Pros: Fresh flowers in guest rooms, extra pillows, close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Cons: No pool.
