Fodor's Review

Couples and families seeking relaxed seaside elegance in a ritzy, yet understated, setting will love this manicured 6-acre oceanfront escape at the south end of Palm Beach, with serene, bright, airy rooms in a cream-colored palette and spacious marble-lined baths. In the common areas, fanlight windows, marble columns, billowing curtains, and swaying palms are beautiful and inviting. Kick back in large rooms that have private balconies, many of which offer ocean views,

and continue to relax at the fabulous spa, where gentlemen are not overlooked—in fact, six-step hot shaves and other indulgences are geared specifically to them. The three restaurants are worth sampling, especially the eclectic Jove, opened in March 2014. On weekends in season, live jazz music accompanies cocktails in the living room lounge.

Don't Get Fooled by the Name

I have stayed in a half dozen Four Seasons hotels in the last 2 years and this is by far the worst in quality. I arrived at a few minutes before the 4:00 p.m. check in and had to wait nearly 2 hours for my room. The food was positively dreary. Daily maid service was very uneven during my 5 day stay. The hotel has the look and feel of a rennovated Holiday Inn with slightly more charm. It is isolated and hard to get anywhere unless you have a car.

A huge disappointment to a Four Seasons fan.
