The best place to fly into is Palm Beach International Airport (PBI. 561/471-7420). For a cab, call Palm Beach Transportation (561/689-4222), the hotline for several cab companies. Tri-Rail Commuter Bus Service (800/874-7245), the commuter rail system, provides taxi and limousine service. For either, the lowest fares are $2.50 per mile, with the meter starting at $2.50.Tri-Rail has 13 stops altogether between West Palm Beach and Miami, where tickets can be purchased. The one-way fare is $5.50. The city's bus service, Palm Tran (561/841-4200), runs routes 44 and 40 from the airport to Tri-Rail's nearby Palm Beach airport station daily. Greyhound Lines (800/231-2222. www.greyhound.com) buses arrive at the station in West Palm Beach. Amtrak (800/872-7245. www.amtrak.com) connects West Palm Beach with cities along Florida's east coast and the northeast daily.
