Fodor's Review

This restaurant, just outside Disney property, bills itself as French with an Asian influence. It's essentially two restaurants, both open September through June. On Saturday evenings, guests at the Chef's Kitchen eat an $89 prix-fixe seven-course dinner ($129 with wine pairings) in the kitchen, which is decorated beautifully. Dishes might be sautéed squab with morel and foie gras ravioli in lemongrass consommé, or pan-seared Wagyu beef ribeye with marble potatoes, roasted

fennel, and oxtail compote. Come for Sunday brunch, when La Coquina's generous buffet selection of goodies with free-flowing champagne and live piano music makes the price ($68 adults, $34 kids) almost seem like a bargain. For brunch, you're seated in the dining room, but your waiter takes you into the kitchen. It's set up like a European marketplace, where you pick out what you want to eat and watch the chef cook it to order—perhaps agave-glazed rack of lamb with eggplant and herb cheese, or roast tenderloin of buffalo with cippolini onions, goat cheese, beet napoleon, and arugula leaves.
