Fodor's Review

Orlando's only Ritz-Carlton is a particularly extravagant link in the luxury chain, with exemplary service that extends from the porte-cochere entrance to the 18-hole golf course, restaurants, children's programs, and 40-room spa. Suites have balconies, decadent white-marble baths, and deluxe bedding, and a Royal Suite satisfies even the most noble guest. Children are treated with special care in the Ritz Kids program, which offers supervised physical and creative activities.

An enclosed hallway connects the Ritz to the JW Marriott next door, where you'll find more restaurants and a kid-friendly lazy-river pool complex.

club floor is the way to go

We've stayed here on several occasions. Always on the club floor - the food drink and extra service is well worth the extra money (especially if you're going in the off season when prices are less). About 20 minutes drive and you're on WDW property - from there it depends on what parki you're gong to but we didn't think the drive a problem and the club floor gave us good directions to avoid the Interstate. pools and spa are great - the ritz kids

club is very nice - our daughter loves it. now they're using Bulgari bath amenities - very very nice. If you do stay on club floor, there's a great view from lounge - so just ask for a garden view room (cheaper) and then enjoy the view from the lounge - (unless you like to spend a lot of time on a private balcony with a nice view)

Perfection!!!

Rooms were impeccably clean, service was top-notch, spa was 'heaven' and the pool was one of the best ever. Food presentations and service on the Club-level were well worth the extra money. One of the nicest and well-run Ritz Carlton's I have stayed at yet.

Beyond 5-star !

The hotel is fabulous! The staff is exceptional and they make it diffucult to want to stay anywhere else. Fairways Pub at the golf course is a great place for lunch. The Spa and Fitness Center is the largest ever, 40,000sq feet and contrary to above comment, the Spa is run by Ritz Carlton employees, not an outside company. The private Spa pool (for Spa guests only, no kids allowed)is a great escape from the hotelcrowds. Fair warning though, due to

the Ritz being connected to the JW Marriott (unfortunately) and their convention crowds, it can get very busy throughout the property. The Ritz Carltons should be by on their own in my opinion. Truly a fabulour place to stay in Orlando!

Letter to the Manager

Rooms: FIVE stars. The rooms are the typical Ritz Carlton style. They are impeccably clean, spacious, and have excellent balconies. They also have fine bedding and amenities. Spa: FIVE stars. The spa may be run by an outside company, but the service and amenities they offer are right on par. The pool is immaculate. Golf: FIVE stars. There is a beautiful course and a helpful staff. Food and Beverage: FOUR Stars. Normans is a great restaurant, but it

is not a five star. Pool: FIVE stars. Both the main pool and the spa pool are as clean as can be. The main pool has a nice bar and the pool attendants are friendly and efficient. We went down for a dip during a crowded Holiday afternoon and were surprised to find a manager pitching in, busting his butt. We requested shade. He found one cabana chair that was available and then went searching for another. He found another and carried it over himself and set us up. I would call that good management. Service: FIVE stars. The service at your Hotel is undeniably the best, but the most exceptional group is the concierge level staff. I have to rank your concierge level staff as the all-around best in the state. I must commend them on their friendliness and attentiveness. I noticed the way they treated other guests who were being over demanding or were making ridiculous requests. They never were sarcastic or became flustered. All around: FIVE stars. Your hotel is only one of four hotels throughout Florida that I would bestow a five star ranking on, and it is quite possibly the best! So congratulations to the management team of the Ritz Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes for leading by example and building a five star team of dedicated employees. As long as this continues, we will continue to vacation there.

Simply the Best

Stayed here few days before thanksgiving the place is gorgeous. Service was great. We had a golf package which included club room. The club room was well worth the money. Only went to restaurant for dinner. Breakfast continental, lunch cold cuts salads etc. afternoon tea, hordeourves then dessert & cordials. Wine served from 12 - 10pm. They go out of their way to get you anything you want including mixed drinks. Golf course was great Annika Sorenstam

was playing & was told Tiger often plays here. The pool was pretty JW Marriott on same grounds you share pools with both hotels. Nicest hotel in Orlando, have to say Marriott next door quite nice also.Just beware big confernce hotel.
