Firmly established as local celebs, thanks to their success at the neighboring Ravenous Pig, chef-owners Julie and James Petrakis went the Southern brewpub route for restaurant number two. It's a bustling, casual space for a wallet-friendly, home-style meal made with regional ingredients, along with several varieties of house-brewed and other craft beers plus hand-crafted cocktails made with American spirits. Staples include a three-ham tasting platter with pepper jelly "ham jam," and raw oysters. After that, it's an always-changing array of small entrées, featuring familiar items like chicken and scallops and not-so-common ones like quail and lamb ribs. Plan ahead for a three-course whole-animal dinner (eight-person minimum), like a smoked suckling pig.
