Why We Like It

This beautiful resort, twinned with the truly deluxe Waldorf Astoria Orlando, offers great service, lush accommodations, lots of amenities, including a lovely spa and award winning golf course, and fine dining, is not officially on Disney property, but is on a forested bit of land surrounded by Disney, making for a handy location.

The Hilton more than lives up to its next-door neighbor the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, with plenty of amenities, including a 3-acre lagoon pool with lazy river, rooms with deluxe bedding, flat screen TVs, family-friendly activities, and transportation to Disney parks. The hotel is part of the Bonnet Creek resort area, tucked into a corner of Disney World's vast forest lands, with splendid views from the lobby over the golf course. Connected to the Waldorf by a convention hall, the Hilton offers guests full use of such Waldorf facilities as the spa and restaurants.

You Should Know The $35 daily resort fee covers Wi-Fi, a variety of kids’ meal discounts with a paying adult, 2 bottles of water/day, free golf club rental after 2pm, local calls, and 10% off spa treatments at the Waldorf Astoria’s spa.

Room

The spacious rooms are decorated in restrained creams and neutrals, and feature the Hilton Serenity bed, either two queen beds or a king, with white duvet style bedding. Amenities include a 37” flat screen TV, coffee maker, mini-fridge, ergonomic chair and work station, and Wi-Fi.

Bathroom

The bathroom features restrained beige-patterned wallpaper and tiling. The shower/tub combination (some feature glass-enclosed showers), the WC and the marble vanity with one sink are all in the same smallish space. Peter Thomas Roth bath and shower supplies are provided.

Lobby

The spacious lobby features plenty of spare, modern-style furniture, upholstered in pale fabrics, making for a good social space. The pale stone floors reflect the outdoor light during the day, and the lobby lighting after dark, creating a bright, open feeling. Ample check in counter space allows for efficient movement even when there is a large group arriving. The lobby also contains a bar and several shops.

You Should Know Some may find the ceiling art of giant women in bathing costumes a bit unnerving.

Pool

The vast, lagoon style heated pool contains a water slide and a lazy river for the whole family to enjoy. Floats are welcome here – you can bring your own or purchase some in the hotel store. A limited number of complimentary inner tubes are available on a first-come basis. Staff provides entertainment around the pool, such as arts and crafts, family games, and poolside movies. Reservations are recommended for the poolside cabanas, where guests can enjoy private chairs, refreshments, Wi-Fi, TV and a ceiling fan.

You Should Know Kids Club activities are available at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando next door.

Spa

No spa in this hotel, but you are welcome to enjoy the luxurious facilities at the full-service Waldorf Astoria Spa, right next door.

Gym

The fitness center provides free weights and treadmills with a lovely view of the pool. Yoga classes are offered on the weekends.

Dining

La Luce is a modern Italian restaurant, created by famed Napa Valley chef Donna Dcala, and open for dinner only. It features a range of Italian dishes served family style, or in more intimate style. Pastas, breads and desserts are made in-house, and please children and adults alike. The restaurant features an art collection showcasing local artists. Zeta Asia is also open only for dinner, and serves sushi and cocktails. Harvest Bistro offers casual American fare and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The lobby offers grab-and-go options for quick drinks and snacks. If you want to dine beside the pool, head to Beech where you'll find a menu of sandwiches and burgers as well as tropical beverages. The very hip coffee bar, Muse, serves coffee, tea, pastries, salads, sandwiches and ice cream.

Drinking

In the lobby, Myth Bar serves wine, cocktails, and finger food, with seating inside and outside overlooking the pool and golf course. Beech serves tropical beverages beside the pool, and the restaurants have lounges attached, which serve beer, wine and cocktails.

Getting Around

A scheduled shuttle service takes you to and from all Walt Disney World parks, but if you prefer the ability to come and go as you please, which is an asset at Disney, and essential if you want to visit Universal or SeaWorld, a car or ride-share service is a good option.

Restaurants

Disney Springs (12-minute drive) is home to dozens of dining spots, including the three-story PaddleFish, a modern-day paddleboat, where seafood is king and the outdoor rooftop terrace offers striking views of the lagoon and the entertainment at the Springs. Nearby you’ll find Raglan Road, an authentic Irish Pub, featuring refined Irish fare and lots of music and dancing; Morimoto’s Asia, an Asian Fusion eatery owned by, and often visited by, famed Japanese chef, Morimoto; and Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ restaurant, showcasing local, Southern food. The Polite Pig, owned by local James Beard nominated chefs, offers barbecue, brisket and beer!

Bars

Disney Springs (20-minute boat ride) offers dozens of places to lift a glass. The rooftop bar at Morimoto's Asia offers high-end sake; Raglan Road's Irish pub pours a mean Guinness; wine connoisseurs can head to Wine Bar George, where a master sommelier dispenses a wide range of domestic and imported wines; and House of Blues is the spot for beer.
