Columbia Restaurant

Fodor's Review:

Celebration's branch of this family-owned chain is generally as good as the original in Tampa. Start with Cuban caviar (actually black-bean dip with crackers), ribs with guava barbecue sauce, or the house specialty, chicken or deviled crab croquettes. For your main course you should zero in on the paella – either à la Valenciana, with clams, shrimp, scallops, squid, chicken, and pork mixed into tasty yellow rice; or the all-seafood marinara, which also includes lobster. A good lighter dish is the Atlantic merluza, a delicate white fish rolled in bread crumbs, then grilled and topped with lemon butter, parsley, and diced eggs. Desserts include key lime pie and a special new dish created for the restaurant's centennial called brazo gitano cien anos, a sponge cake with strawberries that is soaked in syrup and sherry and flambéed table-side.
