$$$$, Epcot
Fodor's Review:
Facing the Dolphin across Crescent Lake, the Swan is another example of the postmodern "Learning from Las Vegas" school of entertainment architecture characteristic of Michael Graves. Two 46-foot swans grace the rooftop of this coral-and-aquamarine hotel, and the massive main lobby is decorated with a playful mix of tropical imagery. Guest rooms are quirkily decorated with floral and geometric patterns, pineapples painted on furniture, and exotic bird-shape lamps. Every room has two queen beds or one king, two phone lines (one data port), and a coffeemaker; some have balconies. The Grotto, a 3-acre water playground complete with waterslides, waterfalls, and all the trimming, is nearby, as is Disney's BoardWalk and the Fantasia Gardens miniature golf complex. Pros: charge privileges and access to all facilities at the Dolphin; easy walk to BoardWalk; good on-site restaurants. Con: rooms only dip below $250 in off-season.
