$$$$, Continental, Kissimmee
Fodor's Review:
Inside the Caribe Royale Resort, one of Orlando's bigger convention hotels, this place was doubtless designed for execs on expense accounts. But the serene, luxurious, and romantic atmosphere makes it a great place for dinner with your significant other. The architecture alone is enough to lure you in. It's designed to look like Renaissance Venice: the entryway has a giant copper dome over the door and the dining room has dark-wood furniture, crystal chandeliers, and carpets that could grace a European palace. A tad cliché but tasty just as well is the pan-seared foie gras starter. You can follow that with farm-raised squab or the lobster with cognac and hazelnut pheasant sausage, then perhaps the Grand Marnier soufflé or the chocolate sampler consisting of mousse, cake, and truffles -- a dessert worth its $16 price tag.
