Shrek 4-D

Fodor's Review:

Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow reprise their vocal roles as the swamp-dwelling ogre, Shrek; his faithful chatterbox companion, Donkey; Shrek's bride, Princess Fiona; and the vengeful Lord Farquaad in this animated 3-D saga. Grab your "OgreVision" glasses and prepare for a tumultuous ride as Shrek tries to rescue Fiona from Lord Farquaad's ghost. If she won't be his wife in life, he figures she ought to be in death. The showdown puts you at the center of a 3-D movie adventure that includes a battle between fire-breathing dragons and a pretty scary plunge down a deadly 1,000-foot waterfall. Specially built theater seats and a few surprising sensory effects -- mainly blasts of air and sprinkles of water -- make the "4-D" part. Even with the show's capacity for 300, you'll probably have to wait in line an hour just to reach the preshow, which stars the Gingerbread Man and the Magic Mirror and is slightly entertaining, but at 13 to 15 minutes, lasts longer than the film itself.
