Fodor's Review:
One of the funniest and most entertaining shows in any theme park, this attraction begins in an intriguing preshow area where masks, props, and rubber skeletons from the film Scorpion King make a great backdrop for a family photo. Beyond this, the real fun kicks off in the theater when a host brings out aspecial-effects expert to describe what goes into (and what oozes out of) some of the creepiest movie effects. Corn syrup and food coloring make for a dandy blood substitute, for example. Despite the potentially frightening topic, the subject is handled with an extraordinary amount of dead-on humor and totally engaging audience participation. As movie secrets are betrayed, actors add in one-liners with comedy-club timing. Throw in some knives, guns, loose limbs, and a surprise ending, and you've got yourself a recipe for edge-of-your-seat fun. It's absolutely flat-out good.
