On the ground floor of a condo high-rise on the edge of Lake Eola, this place takes its name from a self-created acronym: Hip Urban Environment. While it may not be quite as cool as its press clippings, the food is both good and eclectic, with offerings ranging from succulent duck tostada with black beans, jack cheese, and salsa to crispy oysters with garlic mayo or wood-grilled New York strip steak with a red wine demi-glace. Unfortunately, the large outdoor dining area overlooks the street and not the lake.

I frequently visit Hue while in Orlando and have always had excellent meals! I especially recommend the tuna tartar appetizer!

Avoid this restaurant! My boyfriend and I ate there very recently, both had chicken and both were really sick for the next two days. When we were finally well enough to get out of bed, I called the restaurant and asked for a refund. A manager agreed and told me to call back with our credit card information. When I did, two other managers talked to me and told me that they were NOT going to refund the dinner, despite what the other manager had said. They said that they could not accept responsibility for what happened to us by giving us our money back. I called a few more times, and they stopped returning my calls. If you are looking to eat out, go anywhere but Hue.
