Ash Street Inn

Fodor's Review:

It's only fitting that the sunny yellow historic homes that make up this precious inn are surrounded by a white-picket fence, which is just a block from the heart of downtown Fernandina Beach. Rooms are spacious and individually decorated with bedspreads and fabrics, and, in some cases, window treatments and antiques. Some rooms have claw-foot tubs, others have whirlpools, and one has a working fireplace. The rate includes a three-course breakfast that can be enjoyed either in the bright dining room or out on the porch. Lemonade and fresh-baked cookies often appear on the porch in the afternoon. Pros: walking distance to historic district; pets allowed in certain rooms; friendly staff; complimentary bicycles and beach gear (towels, umbrellas). Cons: may be boring for kids; small pool; not within walking distance of the beach.

  • Hotel Details: 10 rooms, 1 suite
  • In-room: kitchen (some), refrigerator (some), Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: pool, bicycles, parking (free), some pets allowed.
  • Rate includes: Full breakfast
  • Credit Cards: AE, D, MC, V
