Museum of Arts & Sciences

Museum of Arts & Sciences Review

This behemoth museum has a humanities section with displays of Chinese art, and glass, silver, gold, and porcelain examples of decorative arts. The museum also has the largest collection of Cuban art outside of Cuba, Florida American Indian items, pre-Columbian art, Indian and Persian miniature paintings, and an eye-popping complete skeleton of a giant sloth that is 13 feet long and 130,000 years old. Kids will love the Charles and Linda Williams Children's Museum, which is filled with interactive science experiments; a 2½-acre outdoor contemporary-sculpture garden; and a planetarium with laser-light shows.
