At first glance, this downtown restaurant looks like any nondescript, casual chain restaurant—with an uninspired menu to boot—but on closer inspection, the local favorite makes a name for itself with original twists on the expected like French onion-steak sandwich, chicken-cordon-bleu pasta, and Southern-fried shrimp. The extensive menu offers a variety of chicken, beef, and seafood entrées, as well as sandwiches and salads. Dine inside the historic brick building surrounded by colorful murals depicting downtown DeLand or outside on the patio by the manatee fountain. Regular diners praise the friendly and efficient waitstaff—and the cinnamon buns as big as your head.
