After more than 25 years of dominance in Jacksonville, this colorful, quirky, family-owned eatery has finally landed a location at the beach. The menu has an ambitious list of sandwiches, salads, and soups; an overflowing gourmet-food section; a mind-boggling beer list; and cookies big enough to knock someone unconscious. Thirsty locals belly up to the impressive, hand-carved bar for monthly beer tastings and daily happy hour (2-7 pm). The more mature crowds prefer to sip their zinfandel in the bustling dining room.
