Satellite Beach Review
The beaches of this sleepy little community just south of Patrick Air Force Base, about 15 mi south of Cocoa Beach on Route A1A, are cradled between the balmy Atlantic Ocean and biologically diverse Indian River Lagoon. It's a popular spot for family vacations because of its slow pace and lack of crowds. Best for: Swimming, accessibility, sunrises, sunbathing, families. Amenities: Seasonal lifeguards, parking, beachfront park with playground, five pavilions, picnic and restroom facilities.
