Salt Water Cowboy's

Salt Water Cowboy's Review

Rustic handmade twig furniture and 100-year-old hardwood floors are reminders that this spot, hidden in the salt marshes flanking the Intracoastal Waterway midway down Anastasia Island, began as a secluded fish camp. Critically acclaimed Minorcan clam chowder, oyster stew, blackened or broiled fish, barbecued ribs, steaks, and crispy fried chicken are standard fare. For more adventuresome palates, the menu also includes frogs' legs, alligator, and cooter (fried soft-shell turtle rolled in seasoned bread crumbs).

Good food, good service. Sometimes it is too popular and there is a wait - and nowhere to wait - but it's worth the wait!
