Perhaps more than any other property in Daytona, Perry's has a die-hard fan base, many of whom started coming to the oceanfront resort as children, then returned with their children and their children's children. Parents and kids alike are kept happy with the free homemade doughnuts and coffee served in the lush solarium every morning, and the clean indoor pool surrounded by a 10,000-square-foot-atrium with a retractable roof. Two renovations, after significant hurricane damage, added fun new features like a pool tiki bar and spa (the largest in Daytona Beach) and spiffed up the decor. Most rooms have kitchens and great ocean views. Pros: spacious rooms; helpful staff; nice pools; family-friendly. Cons: small bathrooms; slow elevators; limited TV channels.
