Perched on the only traffic-free strip of beach in Daytona, this high-rise hotel is, ironically enough, as popular with families as it is with couples. Every room has a great ocean view, and the Old Florida decor (nostalgic prints, rattan headboards, and sandy palettes) is warm and inviting. If beach bumming isn't your thing, check out the spacious sundecks and two pools or take a stroll down to the pier or boardwalk, both within walking distance. The hotel is also connected to the Ocean Walk Shoppes via covered walkways. Pros: spacious rooms; beach access. Cons: small pool; extra charges; spotty valet service.
